  • Chapman’s is Bringing the Chill Zone to British Columbia This Summer

Chapman’s is bringing sweet summer moments to British Columbia with its Chill Zone pop-up activation at some of Western Canada’s biggest events. Visitors can enjoy plenty of free ice cream samples—an ideal treat for any festival or celebration.

Surrey Canada Day on July 1st, Western Canada’s largest Canada Day celebration, takes place at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale and features family-friendly entertainment, cultural experiences, amusement rides, food trucks, fireworks—and now ice cream.

West 4th Avenue Khatsahlano Street Party on July 11th, Vancouver’s beloved music and arts festival, spans 10 blocks and features multiple stages. More than 50 of the city’s top musicians, local artisans, and street performers will showcase their talent and eclectic creations.

Pleasant Day Festival on August 8th celebrates the community, culture, and local businesses of Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. The festival offers a lively mix of music, food, shopping, family-friendly entertainment, and plenty of Chapman’s ice cream for everyone to enjoy.

Barnside Harvest Festival, September 11–13th, takes place at Paterson Park in Ladner, BC, and features standout performers including Smash Mouth, Tom Cochrane, Marianas Trench, and The Washboard Union. There is plenty of festival fun to be enjoyed by all ages, including an artisan village, family zone, food trucks, and more.

The Chill Zone will feature more than just ice cream—Chapman’s is serving its top-tier Super Premium Plus line. This collection has earned major recognition in national and international competitions, winning honours such as Best Caramel Ice Cream, Most Innovative Ice Cream, Ice Cream of the Year, and Product of the Year. To top it off, Chapman’s will also be handing out giveaways for Chill Zone attendees.

“Every year, we visit a different province to connect with Canadians and share some of our exciting products,” said Ashley Chapman, Chief Operating Officer of Chapman’s. “This year, we’re looking forward to spending quality time in British Columbia. It’s a great opportunity for people to try some of our newer products and maybe discover a new favourite flavour.”

The Chill Zone activation stems from Chapman’s new partnership with The MRG Group. Earlier this year, Canada’s largest independent concert promotion company welcomed Chapman’s as the Official Ice Cream of MRG Live.
